Happi Coats
Happi coats make wonderful after shower robes, summer robes to lounge around the home and for use as a beach robe or pool robe. Happi refers to a short length over coat or robe and has straight sleeves. Happi coats originated as Japanese over coats traditionally worn by shop keepers. Today, happi coats are the most popular attire for festivals, parties and sushi restaurants.

Pink Crane Happi Coat
Beautiful designs of Mount Fuji with flying cranes adorn our stunning pink crane happi coat! Made in Japan of 100% easy care silky polyester. Our pink crane happi coat has one front pocket and a matching belt. Measures 35" in length and 25" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Fits approximately to size x-large. Machine washable. Hawk Mon Haori Jacket
Made in Japan, our haori jacket bears the two mon crests of crossed hawk feathers on the front and one on the back. Made in Japan of a very soft cotton. Haori jackets do not use belts but use two small front ties and are traditionally worn for formal occasions over a kimono. Measures 35" in length and 27" from shoulder to seam to shoulder seam. Fits approximately up to a size x-large. Matches beautifully with our montsuki kimono shown on our kimono page!

Festival happi coats originated from Japanese fireman's jackets, today it is the most popular clothing for festivals, parties and sushi restaurants. Made in Japan of 100% cotton, unisex and includes matching belt. Our festival happi coat measures 26" from shoulder to shoulder seam and 35" in length. Fits approximately up to a size x-large.

Graced with Japanese kanji characters of "prosperity and long life" our happi coat has a beautiful indigo blue weave background pattern.
